An initial assessment consists of an interview and determines the immigrants’ general integration abilities by looking at the following points:

  • reading and writing skills
  • Finnish or Swedish language skills
  • learning abilities
  • education and work experience
  • competences and other special skills
  • employment and education goals
  • life situation and service requirements
